School Days

Before I tell ya'll about Valencia, I needed to squeeze in some cute School Days pictures. All three kids started school at Colegio Natividad de Nuestra Senora this year. Frankie began first year of Infant School (which would be pre-pre K), Alejandra began third year of Infant School (Kindergarten) and Antonio started First of Primary School (first grade). Here they are in their uniforms with their smocks (called "Babys" but pronounced "bab-i") which are super practical.

Francisco, as you may imagine, feels super grown up now. He continually differentiates between a kid like him (who is in school) and "babies" who stay at home -it is adorable. He has done tremendously well and loves going, plays and naps there. He has a very loving teacher named Elena.

While the kids began their first week of school in September, Santiago and Carmen Elisa went to Istanbul, Turkey. They tell us it was a terrific trip and there they discovered their true identity!

The kids were delighted by this picture of them dressed as sultan and sultana, and they also enjoyed the delicious Turkish Delights that they brought back for us!
